Washington (CNN)-Former President Barack Obama on Wednesday said it would not be possible to ease existing measures to combat the transmission of coronavirus without a "robust system of surveillance and tracking — something we have yet to put in place globally." The message provides a startling difference of language relative to President Donald Trump's opinions, who posted on Wednesday morning that the country's economy must be in order. Yet coronavirus monitoring is still not widely available, limiting the ability to ease current social distance recommendations to deter virus resurgence.
